Camouflage Clinic

Sister Flordelyn Salim Sister Flordelyn Salim runs a Camouflage clinic in conjunction with the Keloid Clinic. Camouflage is a non invasive option which can help to reduce the stigma disfiguring scars cause. She has set up a unique skin camouflage clinic that provides advice on cosmetic skin camouflage which can be extremely effective in covering or concealing these types of scars and others such as burns – most other acute hospitals rely on monthly visits by the Red Cross Society to provide this service.

Skin camouflage creams are predominantly designed to disguise colour by matching or blending the scar with the natural colour of the surrounding skin. Camouflage cannot alter the size, shape or prominence of the scar.
